Building Your System Profile

Each compressed air system is comprised of a supply-side and a demand-side, as illustrated below. The system profile identifies all of the participants and their characteristics. That means identifying the consumers of compressed air in your systems, along with the purpose and needs of each one. We also look at the compressed air production process (i.e. air compressors, dryers, filters, separators, pressure/flow controls) and distribution system.

What makes our approach unique is that we measure the actual power consumed (in kWh), and resultant airflow (in CFM) and air pressure (in psi) every three seconds. We record the compressed air demand from the facility and the power consumption required to satisfy that demand.
